Wedding News

I am still in the wedding afterglow.  Such a fun year of planning and thinking about the big day, well it's kind of hard to have it over with. It was perfect, but that couldn't have happened without lots of support from family and friends.   And another big thing.....the weather!!!  We really were sweating that out.  The temps have been all over the place this year, from the 90's to 50's, and since our venue was outside, well we were hoping for temps at the higher end.  We totally lucked out and the day could not have been more perfect.

The morning of, my good friends, Chris, Karen and Carol were there bright and early ready for set up and more importantly tweaking what we had planned.  They were amazing!!!!  Both my sister in laws were there jumping in wherever they could and putting up with my mother of the bride craziness. The bridal attendants such big help too and have been such a good support team for our girl.  The grooms family....an army of workers, jumping in everywhere they could.  Very heartwarming to be surrounded by all this love and support.  The painted banners hanging here and there are by Nicole at Raggedy Old Annie's...love them.  They were the perfect addition to our setting
.

Now with set up done, it was time to get the show on the road!!  This was the very first dress she tried on.  I cried on that day, and I cried once again when I saw her in it!  She looked so beautiful, it took my breath away   My little girl. It's so hard to believe this day has come.  She's the best daughter and I am so lucky to have her as my very best friend.

The day was amazing......the weather behaved!!!  That was a HUGE relief.  We had lots of family and friends there taking pictures and sharing with us until the photographer's come.

This venue couldn't have been more perfect for our two.  They both love the outdoors and from the moment they showed us this spot we knew it was right for them...

And then they were married!!!!!  Woohoo!!!

Both my son and his wife were attendants and The Dots were sign carriers.  Fingers crossed the photographers got some good picture of that.  Here they are sharing a special moment with their cousins.  They were so good at their job!!!  The best sign carriers ever.....and those little bow ties were stinkin' cute on them, not to mention their suspenders!!!!    I am pleased to introduce to you the new Mr. and Mrs. and we are very happy to welcome our new son in to the family.  We feel so lucky to have him....and we couldn't ask for a better guy for our girl.  Life is very good indeed!!!

This is just a small sampling of the day, and I am quite sure I will be driving you all crazy with pictures as soon as they come in!!!  For now, we are slowly getting back to life which means me getting back to some quilting and blogging.  Our new laptop is still giving me fits with posting, possibly it's that I'm a bit rusty!!  Happy Friday everyone.
