Tuesday just wasn't my day. First the pink incident and then carrying the groceries in to the house having a bottle of wine break through the plastic bag and shatter all over the floor........let's just say the kitchen still has the smell of a nice bouquet :-)! I could have cried, but instead I just decided to laugh......that was after all the swearing was done!
Last week a customer came in to the shop with the RJR fabric Mr. Halloween's Party. I love that fabric - I'm a nut for vintage fabric. We have this really easy quick pattern at the shop for charms so I knew I just had to have the fabric for that quilt. When I got home from work today this is what was waiting for me! I haven't forgotten about my "finish what you have" quest, but I just had to have this. In my mind I could just whip this up and have it done by Halloween---well there's always next year!
Here's a couple more pictures of wonderful quilts that were shown in class this week. Love, love, love this quilt. It was hand pieced by Rosemary one of our Tuesday ladies. She's been working on this quilt for 5 years, and just got it back from the quilters. They did such a wonderful job quilting it. Talk about finisihing what you have - way to go Rosemary!

Oh no! The dreaded pink laundry. I've done blue laundry too...sigh.
And once I did sludge laundry, not realizing there was a local fire and the water left in the mains was thick and brown. Ick.
Cute t shirts, Good for quilt for a cure day. LOL Rosemary is wonderful. Hope today is better than yesterday
OMG, Cheryl! I haven't done that in years, thank goodness! I'm sorry it happened to you. I do like the fact that hubby's socks and t-shirt match, however! And the broken wine bottle - not only is it a waste of good wine (wah!), but what a mess, eh? Now that you have all that out of the way, you will have a great day today!!
Love the quilts and the fabric, too!
Pink is good! You are supporting breast cancer awareness. Now the wine, that is a real shame! lol
Oh, bless your heart...pink laundry and wasted wine all in the same day. Love those Mr Halloween fabrics...can't wait to see what you do with them. Enjoy your Lone Star class. That is such a fun quilt to do.
I've never done blue laundry Kaite. I'll have to give that a try. Think I'll skip the sludge laudry!
The pink is actually more like puce-maybe I should wear it on the airplane Donna :-)!
That's what I thought when I did that Nan - think I was around 19 when I ruined a whole lot of my clothes!!! So far so good today -
I can't wait to make a quilt with that Halloween fabric.
That what my husband said about the wine as he was helping me clean it up Perry!!
Thanks for your support Carol!! At least my glasses are still in one piece! I'm excited about class tonight - hope I get all the points done today :-( !
Nice pink shirts! LOL!
Thanks Darlene! If you send me some whites ones, I'll whip you up some :-)!
I've done that to Dennis' underwear. LOL!!! And I spilled a bottle of red taco sauce on our white tile floor. Didn't smell quite as nice as your vino I'm sure.
Hope it wasn't a $60 bottle of wine. I guess that's just another reason to buy the box! LOL. Rosemary's quilt is wonderful! I don't know if I could have given to a quilter. Glad to hear they did a good job on it.
I've done lots of pink laundry..with 3 boys, it didn't go over too good too. I"m also popular when I polka-dot their blue jeans with bleach.
Cheryl I so enjoy reading your blog.. It helps me keep in touch with what I miss!! Thank you...
Taco sauce - Wow! Think I'll go with the wine Sharon :-)! Come home soon!
The wine wasn't too expensive, but you are right Mar, maybe I should be buying the boxes :-)!
Thanks for visiting Kim!!!
I'm looking forward to seeing what you do with the Mr. Halloween's Party--do I really have to wait a year? I have a charm pack or two myself and haven't done anything with them--no thoughts came to mind. I'm sure I'll be saving mine until next year too!
