My Christmas runner is done.....well, not the quilting. It's hard to tell by the picture, but there are yo yo's in the center of each of the dimensional pinwheels. I really like the ticking border (which doesn't show well either)! Problem, I can't figure out how to quilt it and I really want to finish it up by the end of January for my monthly Christmas project. Hmmmmm, any ideas on how to quilt this?
Last night I was looking through my quilting closet to find a pattern for a friend, when I came across a box that has a quilt I started probably about 8 years ago. The top section is all pieced and the next five rows
are labeled and ready to go, but for whatever reason that's where I stopped. The box has all the rest of the 4 patches done and all the blocks are cut. I guess I just forgot about it. So tonight while I'm pondering
the quilting on the Christmas runner, think I will get back to piecing this scrappy quilt.
Hope every one's week got off to a good start and lots of quilting is happening out there this last week of January........wasn't it just Christmas yesterday?? :-)!

Love your runner!
You must finish your 4 patch quilt. It's adorable!
I know, I am constantly amazed at how fast time flies! Yikes!
I agree with you on that ticking border - it's gorgeous! And what a wonderful surprise to find such a lovely quilt in progress! Lucy x
What a fun surprise to find such a cute quilt almost done! Love your Christmas runner--the ticking and the yo-yo's are great touches!
The tablerunner looks really cheery. Not sure how I would quilt it but my favourite way to quilt is stippling.
You must finish the scrappy quilt.
Yes, it does seem like Christmas was just last week -- time sure does fly! Love the table runner -- what about something pretty simple for the quilting -- let the fabrics tell the story? And that four patch is adorable. What a find!
Wow! Look at you go! Love that table runner - it so cute!! You're ahead of me for sure - you go girl!
Love the quilt you FOUND - I wish I could find things like that in my piles of fabric! Can't wait to see it finished!
Glad you had a good time with Katie, too!
Cute table runner! Hooray for long lost projects -- so fun to revive them!
The runner is so cute, they look like little propellers! (of course I'm blind) LOL. What a great find, have you figured out why you put that away?
Cute runner! Love the fabrics! Hum.. as for quilting I would definately go with a swirl type of pattern for the blocks. Perhaps a cursive L and e would work well in the borders. I'm one that needs time to think about how I'll machine quilt a project! Thanks for sharing!
