We got our girl moved out and moved in on Friday. She has the cutest apartment with a wonderful view of the mountains from her patio. As soon as she is unpacked and settled I will be taking some photos. It was only 110 while we were moving, so picture taking was the last thing on our minds, but there was lots of sweating going on!! Even though we all worked hard, it was fun to get her settled and we were happy to be able to help her.
Now let's talk quilting...hmmm! Not so much here with everything going on. Got a few bindings done, and I have been working some more on this Bunny Hill pattern that I started on vacation made out of Old Fashioned Charm. Boy I love these colors...kind of a yucky picture, but trust me, they are yummy! Still attacking my Christmas project a month goal. Two behind, not too bad! I have this sort of top secret Luke Christmas quilt I am going to start this week so I won't give too much away just yet.
Poking around the blogs I stumbled on this wonderful giveaway going on over at Debbie's. You won't believe the pile of notions that some lucky person is going to win. And then this morning I was wandering around and came across Treasured Threads. They carry a lot of the wonderful Australian patterns that those of us here in the States are crazy about and she is located in the US. She is also offering a wonderful BOM called Nice People Nice Things....very CUTE!!!
Back to this award that Lettie was kind enough to give me before vacation. Now I get to pick 7 people to pass it on to. Ok, that is waaaaaay too hard. I haven't met a blog that I don't think is BRILLANTE!! So consider yourselves all to be awarded !! I believe I am 7 posts away from my 100th post and August the 10th will be my one year blogiversary. I have a little giveaway planned for whichever comes first so stay tuned. Hope that all of you get your week off to a great start and don't be surprised if my next post has some MAJOR baby news in it! See you later alligators!

OH Cheryl waiting is so hard...and when the doctor's move the date and make you think it's going to be sooner than you originally thought it is harder. My mom always says "They know when they're ready...and that's when they come"...oh but I hope he comes before we leave on our cruise on Saturday...I want to get to see him.

hia Cheryl- ooo isn't it exciting waiting for baby Luke. When I first saw my daughter I instantly recognised her. Strange as I thought she was going to be a boy. LOL
I love the look of your Christmas tree quilt- So well made too. Well done for keeping busy. I'm hoping to get back into the swing of crafting on Thursday when daughter leaves with guest for NC.
The wait is worth it... ! That pool looks just too inviting! :)
Aww- the waiting is terrible I know. My daughter was 15 days late. I was SO fed up and very short-tempered - lol ! Best wishes xx
Oh the waiting is so difficult - I do believe Master Luke is taunting all of you. teehee!
Oh waiting is so difficult and even harder for the Mom to be in the heat. The dog swimming story is so cute and I can't wait to see the new quilt.
sooo exciting for you all! Glad you've got the pool and the dogs and the swimming to take your mind off of the waiting. ;-)
The longest days are waiting days! Hope Luke is here happy and healthy soon!
Hi Cheryl, Luke will be here soon and I'm sure just spoiled a little. It's so exciting getting a grandbaby, they are so special.
Your quilts are beautiful.
Best wishes and blessings,
Bonnie
The waiting is hard but it's worth the wait. I have just one grandchild, Jacob, and we really enjoy our time together. We love to do "projects", go to the library, and he is crazy about cars. Your life will be so enriched by a grandchild!! Enjoy!!
Sandy A. - thanks for the nice comment..we can't wait for our little guy. I tried to go to your link but said your site wasn't available! Thanks for visiting. Cheryl
Oh what an exciting time! I remember those days like they were yesterday. Where did Kaie move to? I am so behind on my blog reading I must have missed that news. 110 wow that's not the weather you want when you're moving!
So, how's the waiting? Playing catch up here! Summers can be so busy. Add family and friends, and it seems over in no time. Despite your busy schedule, looks like you're still accomplishing on the quilt front! Keep well!
Love the photos around the pool - Bailey and Megan are both so cute! I love the pattern you are making by Bunny Hill. I can't wait to see it done, because I bought that pattern awhile ago (with fabric!) and there it still sits! One of my many projects on the to-do list.
Isn't Treasured Threads wonderful? I haven't bought anything from her yet, but I will.
Once again, congratulations on your award!
