Time Flies........

What a whirlwind of a week! OK, right off the bat I am going to talk about Baby Polka Dot!! Today he is one month old ........seems impossible that a month has gone by. Hello bloggers!! Are you looking at me....hey are you looking at me?? Well I am looking at you :-)!! We love you sweet baby boy!!

Quilting...hmmmmmm, let's see here. Seems there were some bindings to get done. All beautiful quilts....they could easily live at my house! And then there is my friend Carol. She is one of the most prolific quilters I know! Boy this quilt is a beauty! When I put the bindings on I pretend they are mine... for a brief while anyway! Seems SOMEONE was a bit behind on the binding pile!!! Then started my next Christmas project...time to get back into the Christmas groove. Most of the foundation part is done for the Merry Merry Quilt. Just need some greens for the little trees.

Having our girl home for a few days was wonderful and of course her computer tech support was much appreciated AGAIN! She loaded my little happy face quilting guy on my side bar. We had a ball at IKEA. She was looking for a shelf/cupboard for all her games, DVD's, CD's and all that fun stuff!! There were so many choices and I think she will have some more shopping to figure this out. Her best friend Emily joined us. They have been friends since the 5th grade. Friends thru thick and thin, happy times, sad times but always there for each other. Hanging out with them is just fun. Lots of laughing and listening to music on the radio turned all the way up. Felt my youth there for a moment, but a check in the rear view mirror brought me back to reality :-)!!!!! Of course Auntie had to get some cuddling time in with our guy! Too bad the picture is a little blurry.

Today I had jury duty. Sitting in the jury room hoping to be dismissed, but realizing it is something we all need to do. Well I made it up to the court room and they seated and started interviewing the first 12 candidates when time ran out. So back early tomorrow! As luck would have it Mr. Polka Dot got called for jury duty tomorrow! Hey maybe we can meet for lunch...but no discussing of our cases!

This was the view out my sewing room window earlier tonight...the sky was so amazing. If I was as good at picture taking as my friend, my picture would have been SPECTACULAR! The little light spec in the sky is the moon peeking out.
Off to work a bit more on my Christmas project. Hoping that your week is going well and lots and lots of quilty progress happening!
See you later alligators :-)!

How can he possibly be a month old already?????? What a cutie! Oh I think they change every day when they're tiny. He's so alert!
Your binding business is still humming along...that's wonderful! Enjoy!

Looks like you had a fine weekend with your daughter and of course lil' Luke! He is a super cutie! I cant' wait to see how much my lil' guy has grown too.

I like your little quilter on the sidebar. I might add the sewing guy to mine! Tho there hasn't been much sewing going on around here!

Ick Jury Duty!!! I have never been called. My husbands been called 3 times and both my oldest daughters once. My dad was a policeman and whenever he was called for jury duty they dismissed him right away because of that. I just feel lucky I've never had it.

The baby is beautiful. Last night I dreamed I had a grandchild. Weird. I don't have one - yet.

I love binding but be careful, and stretch before you use that right arm too much. That is one of the things that got me in trouble with my arm.

And after my Saturday Ikea experience I can't believe you had a good time there! I tend to find it frustrating because there is so much. The time before I was there I picked up a glass jar and it slipped and broke and SHATTERED EVERYWHERE! Of course no employees to help and I was bleeding because the shards embedded into my legs and feet. It was awful. I had no kleenex or anything and my kids were embarassed and wanted to leave immediately. We left our cart and bled out the door. Maybe that is why I don't like it? ha

Oh he's sooooo dang cute. Love all your binding quilts. And that Christmas pattern is a great one. Can't wait to see it made up.
Good luck with the jury duty and enjoy lunch with John. But it better be a quiet lunch, no talking.

My, my, baby Luke is getting cuter by the day. I can't believe that he's already a month old. Time truly passes quickly.
Thanks for stopping by the ole blog today and for listening to my rant. I'm no Picasso so my images don't matter so much. I just feel so bad for my friend.
Take care.
Aloha!

Your friend's quilt is really nice. I like that she used more than one background fabric. All the reds with the touch of blue is a great combo. I wouldn't mind having it myself.

One month old? No WAY! If sworn in a jury I'd say he was just born last week! Oh Lord, help me slow down time!! Maybe you should post more pictures so we won't lose track of it. Time, that is. ;-)

Fortunately I've never had jury duty! Time is flying! My grandson is 10 weeks old and I just can't believe it. I am an Ikeaaholic! I just love the store with all it's ideas and all it's great stuff! I am so impressed with Ikea that I even enjoy reading the catalogue over and over again.

The quilts you've put bindings on are all gorgeous! I want them ALL!!
The Christmas quilt is going to be so cute! I love that pattern.
You're making me want to go to IKEA, and I don't need anything! I'm glad you had such fun with Katie. Your sky photo is beautiful.

Hia Cheryl, hasn't Luke grown already! It's hard to think that it was a whole month ago that you first shared him with us.

Well done on getting those bindings out of the way.

Hope you get a quick and easy jury sesh and aren't involved in a serious month-long epic trial.

Baby Luke is adorable!! Such fun having them visit. I just love babies!

Jury Duty I can do without. I was called for jury duty a while ago and did not get picked. I was kind of happy. Turns out the guy was convicted for murder! Yikes! He is still in jail too! Thank goodness. I hope your day back in court went okay. Lovely photo of the night sky.
