FRIDAY NIGHT SEW-IN UPDATE!!! Loved sewing the mug rugs....so fast and easy. I started out wanting to make two, but then as I was sewing I started thinking of other friends I could give one to, so two became six!! I got three completely done, and one with the binding almost on, and the last two just the handwork left. I had one jelly roll, and with that I cut the wedges, borders and bindings. I still have plenty left in the jelly roll to make several more for sure .....that's a pretty economical way to make a number of quilty gifts!! Guess the Valentine Mini will have to wait for another day!! Happy Saturday night everyone.
* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * I'm so excited tonight is sewing night...just hanging out and sewing with 168 friends. Thanks Bobbi for hosting this fun night. There has not been much production around here so I'm ready to roll. Here's a couple things I hope to work on::::::::
The first thing will be mug rugs, Xmas gifts for some quilty friends. I found this GREAT tutorial here (not to mention many more great tutorials)! This project will be my finish for Allies' monthly Christmas Through The Year Club......finishing a Christmas present each month. Check it out if you haven't already. Then, I plan to start sewing on these CUTE monthly mini Quilts by Kim Schaefer....tonight will be the Valentine one.... behind as usual :-)!!!!
So off I go to get the meatloaf out of the oven, eat a quick bite and settle in for a wonderful night of sewing... and of course taking breaks to see what the other Friday night gals are working on...happy sewing everyone!

Can't wait to see your mug rugs...
Good luck on the mug rugs.. always a fun project... and then the Valentine project. I'll check back later to see what you accomplished.
The dresden wedges look great in a mug rug. Look forward to seeing your finished mug rug.
No, you're not behind with your Valentine quilt, you're planning ahead for next year.
Sounds like it's going to be a good, good night! Have fun!
Great job on getting so much done. What wonderful gifts those mug rugs will make. Hugs
Now I wanna make some! Yours are really cute! Have you ever put anything in them so that when the warm mug hits it gives off a good smell? I have a ton of dried Sweet Annie, I think I will stuff some in my mug rugs! Thanks for the inspiration!
Wow -- how organized you are! I don't even think about Christmas until November -- which is why I'm always caught with my pants down LOL! Your little mug rugs are adorable!
Beautiful mug rugs, what lucky quilt friends!
Love your mug rugs. Those are really cute (and I love that fabric)! The Valentine quilt you picked is really cute - can't wait to see it when you get to work on it!!!
Wow, six!!! Your gift basket will be overflowing! Those are really pretty, Cheryl, I MUST make some of these!
Great mug rugs, you've used very pretty fabrics. Thanks for the link to the tutorial.
Great mug rugs!
