Schnibbles, March Christmas Gift and A Fun Getaway!

  Under the wire….that’s kind of how the whole month of March has felt like to me!!  Happily I finished this months Schnibbles project….Bibelot runner style!!  This was really fun and fast to make…good thing for me :-)! 

Here we are …..month three of Christmas Through The Year.  Co hosting with Darlene has been WONDERFUL!!!  She definitely carried the ball this month.  Darlene, thank you, thank you, thank you!!!  I squeaked out my gifties for this month….Stay Put Kitchen Towels.  I used the tutorial from Mary at Pin.Sew.Press.    Talk about a fast project…so if you are still wanting to get a gift done you have plenty of time!  Darlene will have Mr. Linky up tomorrow and everyone who links up with their Christmas project for March, has a chance to win a wonderful runner made by Darlene.  This coming Monday I will have some more tutes to share!

We had a wonderful week away with our home on wheels.  Camping in Morro Bay with family…so fun and very relaxing.  We got to visit some old friends (hey look Harold they are back taking our picture!!!).

and three finishes!!!!!  These were started 3 or 4 years ago…..all quilted and neatly tucked away in my sewing closet!!!  Why I didn’t finish the binding is a mystery to me…but YIPEE they are done and will go on my Sew It’s Finished list.

I think my MOJO is making a slow comeback.  Fingers crossed it stays.  Wishing you all a very happy weekend!

Our Girls Rock….the flu…..Tutes!

Yes our girls rock !!! Our girl had the most amazing experience in Tasmania and is now officially a Tasmanian Devil wrangler!! Her two weeks there were the best, hosted by the nicest people and sights she will talk about forever! Missing her for two weeks was the hard part for me, but her boyfriend and I became good texting buddies.

Our other girl…..she ran the LA Marathon on Sunday with a time of 4 hours 34 min.!!!!!! Isn’t that amazing or what?! She trained and trained for 6 months and boy did that training pay off. So proud of both of our girls for sure.

The flu…….UGH!!!!! This nasty bug took me down for about 10 days. I finally went to the doc and got some really strong medication and made the turn……I haven’t been down like that in ages. So for me no sewing, but I’m itching to get to something!!!

SWEET….Amy at Lucykate Crafts has this adorable strawberry lid cover tutorial. I love giving canned goodies to the neighbors and this will be the perfect embellishment!

Aprons are always a wonderful gift and Aimee from Homespun Threads made this beauty from a tutorial here. Love that bow for sure and such pretty fabrics.

Christmas Through The Year Winner!!!!

Darlene and I are so excited…we had 22 participants this month.  That’s a whole lot of Christmas presents done and ready for giving.  We are shaking our pom poms high!!!   Drum roll please……..the winner for the giveaway this month is Carrie P. from A Passion For Appliqué!!!   Congrats Carrie.  Please email me your address and your goodies will be on their way!!!

I have had several emails from people asking about CTTY…so here’s a quick rundown.  To start with this wonderful idea came from Allie…she hosted the club last year, so we are all very grateful to her for getting us up and going!! There are no sign ups for this group…you just join in when you can.  You make a Christmas gift each month and the last day of the month Darlene posts a Mr. Linky on her blog.  We have a giveaway each month and the winner is picked from the current Mr. Linky post.  The first and third Mondays of each month I do a post with of list of tutorials in case you are stuck on a gift idea  (plus I love looking for them)!!!  In addition to having a winner every month we're also going to have two Grand Prize winners next December.  Darlene and I are going to set aside an additional gift every month. The number of entries you have for the Grand Prizes will be based on how many months you participated. So if you participate all 12 months, you'll have 12 entries; 6 months - 6 entries  and so on. 

Today is playday with the Dots.  For me this weekend I am actually going to be doing some sewing so I’m excited!!!!   Happy Thursday everyone.

Christmas Through The Year….Show & Share

Schnibbles

  Last year I watched from the sidelines all the great Schibbles projects being made, so this year when Sherri and Sinta decided to continue on, I was in!

This months Miss Rosie’s Schnibbles pattern is   i.s.t.h. (insert snappy title here…..I just love that).  With days ticking down and wanting to get my project done, I went

for a table runner.  So fun to make…and I am considering quilting it myself…scary :-( !!!

My binding business is GREAT and a member of my family has decided to join the team …….Big Dot is the official pin pusher and does an outstanding job!!

Little Dot is the official play time boy and like his big brother, doing an outstanding job!
